Stolle
Registered Embossing
 Stolle
Registered Embossing machines are designed to emboss patterns
on the length of 2 piece decorated can bodies, which improves
the product’s brand name recognition and creates a competitive
advantage over traditional aluminum or steel cans. The embossing
process is performed by forming the can body between matched
embossing tools.
To register the embossed pattern to the printed decoration,
a laser determines the position of the decoration and the
embosser orients the can body to the tools with an individual
servo motor before embossing.
Stolle’s 24-station Registered Embossing Machine operates
at production speeds up to 1500 CPM and is available configured
for tall (up to 610) or short (up to 413) can heights.
For marketing research and label development, Stolle’s
Single-Station Embossing Machine can accomodate can bodies
up to 610 height at speeds from 5 to 20 CPM.
Both machines accomodate 202, 209 or 211 can
diameters in steel or aluminum. A touch-screen operator interface
controls the various embossing parameters and enables on-the-fly
adjustments.
